Abstract

This article contains comparative legal research of the formation of a structure of single real-estate complex as an object of civil rights in the Russian Federation. The author analyzed the sources for Russian civil law from the establishment of the reforms by Peter the Great to the late XX century. The author researched for similar statutory concepts in the legislative acts of different countries, such as France, Germany, Czech Republic, Finland, Austria, and Latin American countries. On the basis of this research the author derives the key stages in the formation of the concept of a single real-estate complex in the Russian law. Analyzing the legislative provisions of other countries, the author concludes that the structure of a single real-estate complex is a distinctive phenomenon of legal reality in Russia. A further development of this institute will improve the civil transactions with the real-estate in Russia.
