Abstract
In the article, issues related to the serious impact of the terrorist events of September 11, 2001 in the United States on the world order were selected as the object of research. Discussions about the causes, goals and geopolitical consequences of these terrorist acts do not subside, on the contrary, September 11 is marked as the beginning of a new era of systematic, purposeful and collective struggle against international terrorism. The article analyzes the international situation after 2001 based on the researches of a number of authors, as well as the materials of the mass media, The description of the hegemonic policy of the United States is given, and the struggle of the UN in the field of creating an anti-terrorist coalition is analyzed from a scientific and practical point of view.
