Abstract

The article examines notarial systems in the countries of the Romano-Germanic legal family within the context of the development of the Latin notarial model. The research is based on comparative legal, historical-legal, and systemic methods, allowing a comprehensive analysis of notarial organization in France, Germany, and Italy. It is established that notaries in continental European states perform preventive justice functions, ensure legal certainty in civil circulation, and are characterized by a high level of professional responsibility. Current trends in the digitalization of notarial activity and harmonization of European legal standards are identified. The study concludes that the Latin notarial model is effective and that foreign experience should be used to improve the notarial system of Ukraine.
