The tasks caused by achieving the goal structure the presentation from historiographic and cultural-creative to analytical (executive and composer) aspects of research, to systematize scientific and creative sources regarding Ukrainian identity and folk one-time beginning, as a phenomenon of composer’s creativity of Ukrainian musical creativity and development, cognition at the present stage. The scientific novelty of the results of the research is to substantiate the genre-style dynamics of Ukrainian music, to reveal its spirituality and identity on the examples of little studied and analyzed works of Ukrainian composers. The choice of two Ukrainian composers who worked at different times is due to the desire to identify and analyze various creative approaches to the genre and the specifics of using folklore sources. It should be noted that this approach to the analysis of selected works – comparing different versions and identifying the national foundation – has not yet received sufficient theoretical coverage in national music science. Therefore, the appeal to this issue is quite relevant and determines the scientific novelty of the work.
